Most interlibrary loan and document delivery services are free to UW students, staff and faculty. Alumni, Cascadia College borrowers, and non-UW clients are provided ILL on a cost-recovery basis. Check the Interlibrary Loan website for more information. Most articles can be downloaded in 24 hours to 4 days. Delivery time for physical materials varies widely based where the lending library is located.
UW borrowers can use UW Libraries Search to request materials from other UW Libraries to be placed on hold and picked up at the Bothell/CC Campus Library Circulation Desk. If listed as available, these items usually take about 2-3 days to arrive, weekday delivery only. Note: you must be logged in with your UW NetID to see the Request link.
UW students, staff and faculty are eligible to request items through the Summit borrowing system. Summit items can be found in UW Libraries Search, UW Worldcat, or directly in the Summit catalog. The request button will say "Request Summit Item" or "Request Item (about 5 days)". When available, these items take about 5-7 days to arrive, weekday delivery only.
