Finding UW Dissertations and Theses

The UW Libraries has copies of dissertations and masters theses written by University of Washington students. To locate these dissertations search the UW Libraries Search in the following ways:

  • By author
  • By title
  • By genre & department - use the heading "theses" followed by the department:
    • theses education
  • By topic - use the keywords search and combine the phrase "theses and" followed by a topical keyword(s):
    • theses and special education and autism
    • theses and bilingualism
  • Browsing dissertations - education dissertations are shelved under the call number LA7 on the 4th floor of Suzzallo Library

 

Note: While all UW theses and dissertations held by UW Libraries can be found via the UW Libraries Search, all submissions beginning in 2012 are only available electronically.  Electronically submitted works can also be searched directly via the ResearchWorks Archive Dissertations & Theses collection.
