Using electronic journals

Many journals are now available to UW faculty, students and staff in electronic format only. You can use UW Libraries Search or the list of electronic journals on the Libraries web page (see below) to access individual journals. Both sources will provide links to the journals' web sites and will indicate the range of years available online. To search the content of multiple electronic journals at once, use a database like Web of Science or BIOSIS; they can link directly to electronic content that we subscribe to. If those links fail, it could be the journal is not available electronically at all (print only) or that UW does not subscribe to it. Check UW Libraries Search to see if we subscribe to a journal in paper copy. Use the 24/7 Ask Us service if you need help.
