Because the library is organized by subject, it can be difficult to find queer popular works in the collection. The graphic novel and comic book collection is located on the second floor of Odegaard Library. To find topic-specific graphic novels, try an advanced search in the UW Libraries catalog. Using the subject search, use search terms such as:
On the left hand side, filter your results to items only found at Odegaard Library. Under Item Description, you will see the location of the item: Odegaard Graphic Novels.
The subject descriptors are standardized vocabulary from the Library of Congress. They may not be language that you would use everyday to describe LGBTQ topics, so it can be important to know which descriptors are used in catalogs and databases.
