Tips for finding books on biology in the UW Libraries Search

Use UW Libraries Search to find books.

  • Keyword - broadest type of search.  Type in the keywords that describe your topic, for example:  pacific northwest mammals, wildflowers Mount Rainier, bird behavior.

  • To limit your search to books, click on 'Books'  in the left column, under Resource Type.

  • To limit to titles not checked out, click on Available in the Library (at the top of the list)

  • To see the most recent titles first, choose Sorted by: Date-newest (at the top of the results list).

  • Title - Type in the words of the book title; use quotation marks around the words.
