The Coastal Zone Information Center (CZIC) collection on FDsys provides access to nearly 5,000 coastal related documents that GPO received from the NOAA Central Library. The collection provides almost 30 years of data and information crucial to the understanding of U.S. coastal management and NOAA’s mission to sustain healthy coasts. These documents were originally submitted to the NOAA Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) by state coastal zone management programs in accordance with the Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA) of 1972.
In June 2006, a Campbell Scientific weather station was installed at Cantilever Point on the FHL campus by the Carrington lab. Each parameter monitored by the weather station is listed at http://depts.washington.edu/fhl/fhl_wx.html with the corresponding unit of measurement and instrument.
The Center for Ocean Solutions (COS) Pacific Ocean Library is a unique resource housing scientific articles, reports, government publications and gray literature on the Pacific Ocean’s greatest threats, environmental and socioeconomic impacts, and potential solutions for the region. Designed for managers and researchers worldwide, regardless of affiliation, the library provides timely research and foundational readings on the Pacific.
