Use the library catalog to find out what books and other whole items (journal and newspaper subscriptions, DVDs, documents, etc.) a library or library system owns. UW Libraries Search, the default catalog at UW, actually searches the books, periodicals, and government publications in catalogs from Summit Libraries, including the UW Libraries. Books not available at the UW Libraries may still be available from a Summit Library, or through Interlibrary Loan.
Tips for searching the UW Libraries Search box for Books on Careers, Job Hunting, Working Abroad, etc:
Standardized subject headings are used for subject searches in library catalogs. Some sample subject headings relating to careers, job hunting, etc:
Resumes -- Employment
College Students -- Employment
College Graduates -- Employment
Vocational Guidance -- Washington (State)
Professions -- Washington (State)
Americans -- Employment -- Foreign countries
Employment in foreign countries
