동아시아 역사 논쟁에 대한 마지막 보고서
김한규 서강대학교 사학과 교수는 올 여름 정년퇴임을 하고 지금은 남덕유산 자락 오지에 머물고 있다. 이 책은 전화도 잘 터지지 않는 그곳에서 그가 마지막으로 정리한 그의 학문 평생에 걸친 화두 즉, 동아시아 국제 질서의 핵심은 무엇인가를 최종 결산한 작품이다. 『동아시아 역사 논쟁』은 현대 동아시아 국제 사회에서 전개된 주요 역사 논쟁을 정리하여 그 특수성과 일반성을 이해하고, 나아가 그를 통해 논쟁의 중심에 있는 ‘중국’의 역사적 본질과 중국을 중심으로 형성되었던 전통 시대 동아시아 국제 질서의 구조적 특성을 이해하고자 구성된 책이다.
