The UW Libraries tab is part of the default Canvas navigation system. It is a navigation link located on the left side of a Canvas course (commonly called the course navigation). The link connects students to a Canvas page designed to provide quick access to library resources customized for their course of study.
The Libraries tab provides direct links to the library homepage, AskUs service features, the Libraries FAQ and Find Your Librarian. An additional Resource section is mapped to the course discipline and contains links to research guides, UW Libraries branch locations, and appropriate citation styles.
An easy way to find more information about the UW Libraries directly in Canvas is through the UW Libraries tab. The Libraries tab links to resources specifically for your course.
You can find the Libraries tab in your course navigation. Please view the example below:
Once available, you will see a splash page that has various resources available to your course. Resources presented to you will vary depending on the curriculum code associated with your course, including resources for each campus to access while primarily off-campus and ways to connect to Libraries staff.
