Campus Library Printing Information

What are the printing prices and policies?

  • Print costs for single-sided b&w letter-size pages are $0.12 ($0.23 per sheet for double-sided printing) or $0.50 for single-sided color ($1.00 for double-sided) letter-sized printing.
  • University of Washington students can use their Husky Card to pay for printing. Husky Card holders can add value to their card either online using a credit card, or with cash at the vending machine in the Library. (Contact Housing and Food Services on the Seattle Campus for Husky Card account issues at 206-543-7222.)
  • Cascadia students and public patrons can purchase and add value to a Dawg Prints Cards from the vending machine in the Campus Library Information Commons. (Cascadia students may already have a printing allocation they can use in the Learning Center as determined by fees they may have paid.)
  • Refunds are not available on the Bothell Campus. If you experience any printing problems in the Library, please ask a Student Technology Consultant for assistance. To request a refund credit, go to the Dawg Prints refund page.
  • For more information on the Dawg Prints program, including system status alerts, how to print from your own laptop while on campus, and all printer locations, visit the Dawg Prints website.

How do I print?

  1. On Library computers, select File and Print in whichever application you are printing from. Select the printer appropriate for your print job. You will be asked to provide your name and a document name. (It is important that you provide a unique name so that you can find and print the correct document!)
  2. If you want to print from your own laptop, go to and type "Bothell" in the keywords box.  Install the driver for your Operating System, and print as above. (For issues with driver installs, see the Troubleshooting page)
  3. Swipe your Card through the card reader at the Print Release Station. Locate your print job in the print queue by the specific name you entered. The most recent print jobs will appear at the top of the print queue.
  4. Select your print job by clicking the checkbox on the left.
  5. Verify the correct number of pages and the correct amount being charged!
  6. Click the Print button. Collect your printed pages and verify that you only have the pages you printed!
  7. Select the Logoff button to keep others from using the money on your card account!

How do make a photocopy?

  1. There are no photocopiers in the Campus Library for public or student use.  See the Scanners tab for more information.
  2. Staff and Faculty with their own accounting code may be able to use the Managed Print Services Copier in the Library Administration Suite.

Did you know....

Cascadia students pre-pay quarterly for printing at Cascadia's printers located in the Learning Center (CC2-060) and at breakout areas in CC1, CC2, and CC3 that include both computers and printers.  A Photocopier that accepts cash is also available in the Learning Center.
