Journal articles are great resources for secondary research on your topic. Journal articles tend to have a more specific focus then reference articles or books. Journal articles provide extensive bibliographies that are very useful for locating additional related research on your topic.

What should you do if you find an interesting article in a database but no link to the full text? 

Click on the purple "Check for full text" button underneath the article record – this button will attempt to connect you to the full text article if it is owned by the UW.
