Collection Guidelines: Classics: UW Libraries Locations

These are the guidelines by which materials are purchased for the Classics collection of the UW Libraries (Seattle Campus).

Location of Materials

Suzzallo and Allen Libraries are the major locations for the Classics collection in print.
Electronic resources may be found on the Classics Research Guide.
Microform collections are in the Microforms-Newspapers Section.
There are some duplicate and related English-language titles in the Odegaard Undergraduate Library, Bothell and Tacoma libraries.
Material on Greek and Roman art is available in the Art Library.
Information on Greek and Roman architecture is available in the Built Environments Library.
Medieval manuscripts and rare books in Greek or Latin may be found in Special Collections.
Specialized print encyclopedias, dictionaries, concordances, and bibliographies may be located in the Reference Section in Suzzallo Library.
Videos are primarily in the Media Storage collection (ask at Circulation Desk, Suzzallo Library, 1st floor). Many video and streaming video materials are available through online collections.
