Governing the Arctic: An Emerging Focus in International Relations

NADINE FABBI & VINCENT GALLUCCI    T F 2:30-4:20

For students of international studies, the Arctic provides an opportunity to be on the cutting edge of current foreign policy issues. “This is an area we have to pay real attention to,” said Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton in a recent Newsweek interview. The Arctic Governance Task Force 2011 team will have the opportunity to present a background paper on critical issues facing the Arctic region today.

UW Libraries Catalog

[Advanced search]
The UW Libraries Catalog is especially useful when searching for a known item (a specific title or author's work).  It is also useful when you would like to limit your search just to items in a specific location such as Suzzallo/Allen Stacks.

Tips for Searching the UW Catalog for Books on the Arctic:

  • Try these subject headings: "Arctic regions," "Arctic regions-Strategic aspects," "Natural resources-Arctic regions," "Climatic changes-Arctic regions," "Arctic regions-Politics and governance," and "Arctic peoples;" or related subject headings such as "Inuvialuit Eskimos-Treaties" and "Russia (Federation)-Foreign relations-Arctic regions."
  • Use the Advanced Search to limit your search to words in the title or subject, to items at a specific UW library, or by other criteria.
  • Getting too few results? Try searching UW WorldCat for items available through the Summit consortium.
