Teaching & Learning: ELL & International Students

The Teaching & Learning Guide provides information to help you with your needs as an instructor including class materials, statistics and assessment information, important reminders, and readings and resources.

Quick Tips for Library Sessions

  • Create a hard copy and/or digital handout with the key information, resources, and ideas you are covering in the lesson. Multiple ways of communicating information is a good thing.
  • Use examples that are likely to be understood across culture and geography when teaching topic and keyword development or search strategies. People, places, and events that are specifically American can confuse, distract, or intimidate.
  • Include a transcript or subtitles if you use video, whether during or outside of the class session.
