EndNote Basic

Guide to using Endnote Basic / Online / Web to manage your citations

Search Your EndNote Basic Library

You can search your library to find specific citations.  Use the Search box under the References tab.  Specify the folder to be searched, if desired.

Search Databases

You can search certain external databases from within EndNote Basic.  Choices of databases are primarily limited to online library catalogs, PubMed, and, if on campus or using Husky OnNet,Thomson-Reuters databases such as Web of Science and BIOSIS Previews.

NOTE: For topic searches, we recommend searching PubMed via the PubMed website due to the limited search options from within EndNote Basic.
