About Me

I have worked as a librarian at the UW Tacoma since 2014.  My previous positions include: Education Materials Center Librarian / Instructor at Texas A&M University - Kingsville and Agriculture & Life Sciences Reference Librarian / Assistant Professor at the University of Idaho. 

As the Head of Instruction Services, I oversee the library instruction program and provide guidance on librarian teaching efforts at UW Tacoma.  My subject liaison areas include:

I also manage the Children's and Young Adult Collection at UW Tacoma Library as part of my liaison duties for Education.

For students

  • Meet with you individually to discuss your topic and possible research strategies
  • Recommend the best databases to search for your research topic
  • Answer your questions via email, phone, or in-person
  • Tell you about library services

For faculty

  • Create a webpage tailored to your class assignment
  • Discuss ways to best incorporate research skills and library materials into your class assignments
  • Tell you about library services
  • Act as a liaison communicating the department's concerns and needs to library administration
