Kathleen Monks

 
Kathleen "Katie" Monks has worked as a librarian at the UW Tacoma since 2014. She has previously worked as the Education Materials Center Librarian / Instructor at Texas A&M University - Kingsville and as the Agriculture & Life Sciences Reference Librarian / Assistant Professor at the University of Idaho. At UW Tacoma Library she is the Head of Instruction Services, and thus, oversees the program and provides guidance on librarian teaching efforts at UW Tacoma. Her subject specialty areas include Business, Education, and Core. She also manages the Children's and Young Adult Collection at UW Tacoma Library as part of her liaison duties for Education.

Katie is an alumna of UW Tacoma and a native Washingtonian.
