An excellent place to start when looking for articles about audio research and preservation is the the Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) Journal. This semi-annual, peer reviewed publication serves to document the history of sound recording and includes original articles on many aspects of research and preservation, including: biography, cataloging, copyright law,current research, discography, technical aspects of sound restoration, etc. ARSC also publishes a newsletter.
