Borrowing Services: Weather / Emergency Closure

Guide to Borrowing from the UWB/CC Campus Library

Quick Links

Borrowing Services during COVID-19

For the health and safety of all employees and our campus community members, all Libraries staff are working remotely, and services are limited.  We appreciate your flexibility and understanding.

For information about Borrowing, Returning, and Requesting library materials during this time, please see our Online Learning Support: Borrowing and Returning Library Materials webpage or contact us at

Weather / Emergency Closure

Weather/Emergency Closures : Returning Materials

Please do not come to campus to return UW Libraries materials when campus is closed due to inclement weather or other emergency conditions. On the day campus re-opens, items will be checked in as if they were returned on the last day the library was open. If you are unable to return your material on the first day we re-open, fines will be assessed for the days we were closed. In that case, you can appeal the fines using the Appeal of Library Charges web form.

Check the UW Bothell and Cascadia College websites for updated closure information.

Note that we do have a street-level book drop below the Campus Library on Campus Way NE that you can use to return books and media (not laptops) after campus re-opens without having to park on campus. There is a driveway with a sign for the Library loading dock, and the bookdrop is a few feet away.
