The UWB/CC Campus Library building is closed, but we are actively developing a reopening approach to library resources and services. On-campus library services will resume once the appropriate COVID-19 prevention safety measures are in place. Please check back later this summer for updated information about library services

Current Operations

  • For the health and safety of all employees and our campus community members, all Libraries staff are working remotely, and services are limited. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding. 
  • Book drops are closed. Please hold on to your library materials. Do not leave items at the locked drops. You remain responsible for library materials checked out to you. Upcoming due dates have been adjusted when possible.  If you have items checked out, please continue to renew them if possible. 

    • Step-by-step instructions on how to renew items are available from the Renewing Materials page of our FAQ guide.

    • If you are unable to keep library items, please email suzzcirc@uw.edu.  

  • Fines: Overdue fines accrued between March 6, 2020 and the day the Libraries re-open will be canceled.

  • Course Reserves: With user safety and equitable access in mind, no physical materials will be placed on Course Reserves for Summer 2020 or Fall 2020. Instructors may find information about alternatives to physical course reserves on our Faculty Guidance for Choosing Online Materials page.

  • Gifts: For the safety of library staff, donations of physical items for our collection will not be accepted at this time.

  • WiFi Access: The Washington State Department of Commerce has published a list of drive-in hotspots available all across the state. 

  • Laptops: The Library currently has laptops available for checkout. For more details see our laptops page. The due dates for any UWB/CC Campus Library laptops checked out have been extended to August 28, 2020. If you have any questions or need to return the laptop prior to its due date, please email Library Technology Services at uwblts@uw.edu, or leave a message with your phone number at 425-352-3145. We can typically respond by the end of the next business day (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
