Short, simple how-to and demos of frequently asked questions about using the Libraries and information resources.  Includes:

  • How do I request a book/article we don't have?
  • How do I request materials using Interlibrary Loan?
  • How do I connect Google Scholar with UW Libraries?
  • How do I access resources from off-campus?

Quick Tips & Shortcuts for Database Searching

This is a pretty solid overview of what to consider when you're searching for material in library databases.

One word of caution - the librarian mentions checking the "full-text" limiter, but UW Libraries often has full-text access that does not show up directly in the database.  Instead, try clicking the "Check for Full Text" button to see if we have full-text access through another vendor, publisher, or platform.
