The Upper Mississippi comprises 914 miles (1,471 kilometers) from St. Anthony Falls, Minnesota, to the confluence with the Ohio River at Cairo, Illinois. It flows through portions of Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
