Library Services for Faculty and Staff

Information for UW Law Faculty and Staff about the services we offer.

Request Book Purchases

If you would like to recommend that the Law Library purchase books or electronic resources for the collection or talk with us about ways the collection can better support your teaching and scholarship, please contact Peggy Jarrett, pjarrett@uw.edu, 543-1941.

Donate Materials

If you want to donate materials to the Law Library, please schedule an appointment with the Law Library, lawref@uw.edu.  A member of the library staff will come to your office to determine which of your books are needed for the collection. The Law Library is unable to accept any book donations outside of this process. Once the Law Library has removed accepted donations and library materials currently checked out to you, please dispose of any unwanted books in the book recycling box on the loading dock.

Contribute Faculty Publications for Display and Collection

The Law Library maintains a faculty scholarship collection containing article reprints and copies of books written or edited by UW Law faculty, past and present.

The most recent works are highlighted in the Faculty Scholarship display case outside of the Law Library on Floor L1, near the central elevators. From there, publications are placed in the law library conference room (L142).

We rely on faculty to contribute copies of their work to this collection. Please send your reprints and books to Alena Wolotira (54812, alenaw@uw.edu).

We are also happy to use your personal copies in the Faculty Scholarship display temporarily if you do not have a copy that you can donate.
