This guide provides information on how to access University of Washington School of Law J.D., LL.M. and Ph.D. student papers

UW Law and Law Library Selection and Collection policies for student authored works

The selection policy and process for adding student papers to the law library collection has changed over the years.

  • The collection of most J.D. papers ended in 1993
  • The collection of most LL.M. papers ended in 2012
  • Ph.D. papers are submitted to the University of Washington, not the law school. We have select papers in print and online.

Currently, the law library only adds outstanding student papers to the collection that are recommended by faculty. This means that there are fewer student papers available in the library catalog since 2012.
