Business: Searching Harvard and Sage Cases

HBS cases are available through EBSCO. In this interface, cases are categorized as an “eBook” resource type. You can browse cases by scrolling through the highlights and featured eBooks or use the search feature.

  • If you have a specific case you are trying to find, use the titleauthor, and year of publication fields to narrow your search.
  • If you want to search through cases on different topics and themes, keyword searching for all text fields searches for keywords in the entire case.
    • On your results page, your keyword(s) will show up in bold in case descriptions.
    • By default, results are organized by relevance – cases where your keyword shows up the most.
    • Add additional lines to your search by clicking on the + button.

Sage Business Cases are part of the Sage Knowledge platform which includes books, encyclopedias, videos, and other content in a variety of disciplines.

  • Browse cases using the discipline, region, and case collections tabs.
    • Case collections include curated groupings with cases focused on topics such as “Women & Leadership” and “Sustainability.”
      • Cases with Enhanced Learning Tools include cases with data sets and video content.
      • Content Partners organizes cases by school or institution affiliation.
  • The advanced search feature searches all content in Sage Knowledge. Select business & management as a "discipline" and cases as the "content type" to search only Sage Business Cases.
    • You can add search terms to search within case titles, abstracts, or to do keyword searching.
    • If you are trying to locate a specific case, you can search by DOI or author.
