Gifts of Materials

Gifts have made significant contributions to the excellence of the Libraries and have helped build its outstanding collections. Your support carries on that tradition of giving and ensures that the University Libraries will continue to foster quality scholarship and lifelong learning.

Make a Cash gift

The UW Foundation advances the mission of the University of Washington by seeking and securing private support for its programs in service to students and society. Gifts are applied to the UW fund or allocated as designated by the donor. Libraries Advancement and Support provides additional information about donating to the UW Libraries.

Two endowments specifically support history collections within the Libraries:

Professor W. Stull Holt Military History Endowment
The purpose of the Endowment is to provide support for the purchase of books, periodicals, sets of collected works, facsimiles of manuscripts, electronic products, and other information formats in military history.
Professor Max Savelle American Colonial History Endowed Library Fund
The purpose of the Endowment is for acquisitions to University Libraries' collections of books, periodicals, sets of collected works, facsimiles of manuscripts, and information formats in American Colonial History of the 17th and 18th centuries relating to the colonies in the Western Hemisphere.
