These are the guidelines by which materials are purchased for the Nordic studies collections of the UW Libraries.

‚ÄčThe major interests of the core faculty of the Department of Scandinavian Studies lie in the culture of the Nordic countries: Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland. The Scandinavian department is also home to the Baltic Studies program which is served by the Baltic librarian.

Reflecting the interdisciplinary affinities of Scandinavian Studies at UW, the department has adjunct faculty with appointments in departments such as Architecture, Comparative Literature, Germanics, International Studies, and Sociology.
