Emphasis is on current research. No period is excluded if relevant to curriculum and research needs.
b. Geographical
Coverage is worldwide with emphasis on the North Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Northwest.
c. Language
English language material receives primary consideration. Currently published works in Japanese, Chinese, Slavic and western European languages which support curriculum and research needs are acquired.
d. Format
Monographs, serials, newsletters, newspapers, government publications, dissertations, theses, environmental impact statements, atlases, article reprints, translations, technical reports and microforms are collected.
e. Exclusions
Current marketing publications intended for business use are generally not acquired. Maps are generally excluded.
