Search Tips for Finding Books

Use UW Libraries Search to find books.

  • Keyword - broadest type of search.  Type in a keyword or words that broadly describe your topic.  For example: duwamish waterway.  On the results screen, limit Resource Type  to "print book" or "e-book." Try searching with additional terms to narrow your search, e.g. duwamish waterway AND restoration, or use related terms like "remediation."
  • Title - search for a specific book by title. Type in the book title in quotations.  For example:
"Beaches and Bluffs of Puget Sound."
  • Author - search for books written by a specific author.

Note down the library name and the call number -- you will need this information to locate the book.
