Searching for Faculty Publications

Do you need to look up or track your faculty's publications, either for your own departmental use or for certification purposes? Follow the instructions here.

EMBASE

  1. Format author search list into proper format for Embase

(‘Lastname FM’:au OR ‘Lastname FM’:au OR ‘Lastname FM’:au OR etc. OR etc.)

  1. Add the above to the search hedge in front of AND

AND (‘University of Washington’:ad OR ‘Fred Hutchinson’:ad OR (‘Veterans Affairs’ NEAR/5 Puget):ad OR (‘Veterans Affairs’ NEAR/5 Boise):ad OR ‘Seattle Cancer Care Alliance’:ad OR SCCA:ad)

  1. Copy and paste the search strategy into Embase’s search box
  2. Open the Date limit at top and select Records added to Embase from:
  3. Set the range of the necessary dates (for this search probably From 2015/07/01 to 2016/06/30)
  4. To try to decrease the amount of overlap, Open Sources on the left side and select Embase and then click Apply. This should limit to those articles only in Embase, but there will still be overlap

This will give you a set of results that you can either email to yourself for analysis or import into a citation management system
