IPE Training at UW

The Center for Health Sciences Interprofessional Education Research and Practice is the center for all IPE programs in the UW Health Sciences. 

IPE Teaching Resources 

This includes a toolkit for Faculty, as well as curriculum and cases for Students. 

Faculty Development IPE Training Toolkit

Audience: This toolkit is intended for educators involved in training other educators to be IPE facilitators and/or IPE-competent educators.

Team Science trainings, led by Brenda Zierler, PhD, RN, FAAN

UW WISH offers team trainings in AHRQ's TeamSTEPPS program (described below). UW WISH is the WWAMI Institute for Simulation in Healthcare

Other Sources for IPE Training and Curriculum

Team STEPPS, AHRQTeamSTEPPS is an evidence-based set of teamwork tools, aimed at optimizing patient outcomes by improving communication and teamwork skills among health care professionals. There are modules for office-based care, long-term care, dental care, for patients with limited english, and so on.  In addition, AHRQ holds monthly webinars on topics related to Team STEPPS.
