Continuing Medical Education

DynaMed offers two methods for obtaining CE credit, see below. Credits available: AMA* and AAFP.

  • DynaMed CE
    "Physicians and nurse practitioners using DynaMed to inform and support their clinical decisions are eligible to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits and continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours, respectively, for this internet point of care (PoC) activity." Once you click on an article the link for obtaining CME can be found in the upper left hand corner.
  • DynaMed EBM Journal
    DynaMed editors monitor a large volume of research information on a daily basis through Systematic Literature Surveillance and frequently find articles that are of significant and timely interest to health care providers.

Essential Evidence Plus

"Physicians using Essential Evidence Plus to inform and support their clinical decisions may now earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for this activity." Credits available: AMA*  

UpToDate

"If you have an individual subscription to UpToDate or you access UpToDate from an EMR, you can earn CME credit each time you research a clinical question ." Further answers about CME may be found on the FAQ page.  Credits available:  AMA, AAFP, AANP, AAP, AAPA, ACEP, ACOG, AOA and CFPC.

CME offered online from journal sources on internal medicine related topics. Credits available: AMA*. 

British Medical Journal

Educational articles and learning modules available. Credits available: Not AMA* through this this journal.

Journal of the American Medical Association and associated Archives journals (includes Archives of Surgery)

CME offered online from a variety of journal sources on a variety of topics. Credits available: AMA*.

New England Journal of Medicine

Weekly CME program. Credits available: AMA*.

New England Journal of Medicine

Review CME Program – 50 credits for a single exam. Credits available: AMA*.
