Arnold Library Print Books are housed in the Arnold Building (M1-C830/M1-C850), accessible to Fred Hutch employees 24/7 via badge access. No other Library functions exist in this physical space.

Library staff are available remotely to assist with all Library services or resources.

How to access full text from multiple institutions in PubMed:

  1. Log in to NCBI
    Note: Arnold Library/Fred Hutch does not have an institutional NCBI login; users can sign up for a personal NCBI account for free.
  2. Click your username in the upper right corner to open the ACCOUNT menu, then click the option for Account settings.
  3. At the bottom of the page, click the link to access the NCBI Site Preferences page.
  4. On the Preferences page, look under the "PubMed Preferences" section and click the Outside Tool link to configure Outside Tool Preferences.
  5. "Select an institution to activate their Outside Tool. You may select up to five institutions. Please contact your institution for an explanation of its service."
  6. Tick a box for a single institution, then scroll down to the bottom of the list and click the link to return to the preferences page.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each institution, i.e.
    • Fred Hutchinson Cancer Ctr Arnold Library 
    • Seattle Children's Library & Information Commons 
    • University of Washington Check for full-text
