Getting Started with Health Sciences Library Resources
Your UW NetID and the Library
Your UW NetID is your personal network identification giving you access to UW computing services and library resources such as:
- MyUW and email
- Access to restricted resources through the Libraries Off-Campus Proxy Service or Husky OnNet
- Articles with our Interlibrary Loan & Scanning (ILL) service
It will also let you:
- Reserve a study room
- Book an appointment with writing tutors
- Manage your library account, e.g. renew books
- Place requests and holds from UW Libraries Search
- Use computer workstations in the library
- Access wireless connections on campus
Connect from Off-Campus
Most online resources, including health sciences eJournals and eBooks, are restricted () to current UW students, staff, and faculty members.
Click on the resource you want and if you are located off-campus, you will be prompted to enter your UW NetID:

The Health Sciences Library (HSL) is located in T-334 of the Health Sciences Building, with wireless connectivity, study rooms, and drop-in computers, computer classrooms, AV equipment, anatomical models, and more.
