• Break your question down into parts:
  • What is your patient population?
  • What is the intervention?
  • What is the comparison, or alternative to the intervention?
  • What is the expected outcome?
• Search with keywords:
  • If you have too many results, try including quotations around concepts to create search phrases [example:  "airway management"]
• Try adding limits to your search strategy:
  • Limit by English language articles, publication date, type of article, age group, etc.
