Washington State Continuing Competency Information

Current Washington State continuing competency information can be found here:

Washington State continuing competency rules were scheduled for implementation January 1, 2011. "The draft rules require completion of 531 hours of active nursing practice and 45 hours of continuing education every three years...The three years...start Jan. 1, 2011, and renew every three years thereafter on the nurse's birth date" (Cumiskey, 2010).
