Guidelines for collection scope and acquisitions strategies for Art.

Location of Materials

  • The Art Library is the primary location for books on art and art history on the Seattle Campus.
  • Materials located off-site are indicated in the online catalog. 
  • Electronic resources may be found on the Art Research Guide, including online image collections.
  • Microform collections (of art periodicals) are in the Microforms-Newspapers Section.
  • Books on anime art, manga art, street art, graffitti, and general art books are located at Odegaard Undergraduate Library.
  • Technical materials on graphic arts software, books on material sciences, and some industrial design books are located at the Engineering Library.
  •  Architecture and some industrial design books are located at the Built Environment Library.
  • Older editions and foreign language books on art are in the Suzzallo and Allen Libraries.
  • Archival Collections related to art are in Special Collections - Special Collections also has an amazing book arts collection.
  • Bothell and Tacoma libraries also collect books on art.
