Patient Safety

The Certificate Program in Patient Safety and Quality is an innovative training opportunity run jointly by Seattle Children's Hospital and the UW Medicine Center for Patient Care Quality and Safety. Front-line clinicians develop the skills and knowledge to identify gaps and propose solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of care delivery and strengthen the provider-patient relationship.

The Center supports an array of projects, events and courses for faculty, staff and students from the six UW Health Sciences Schools as well as community partners such as health care providers, clinics, medical centers, patient rights organizations and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.

The UW Medicine Center for Scholarship in Patient Care Quality and Safety delivers training, project support, and large-scale innovations that enhance the quality, safety, and value of care delivered to patients at UW Medicine.
