Dan Mandeville: Education & Background

Nordic Studies and Linguistics Librarian

About Me

Hi there! I'm Dan Mandeville, Nordic Studies Librarian at UW since 2012 and Linguistics Librarian since 2013. I earned my undergraduate degrees from the UW's Department of Linguistics and Department of Scandinavian Studies, and I am pleased to be able to maintain this tie professionally as their subject liaison in the University Libraries.

I can assist students with everything from your first time using the Libraries as an undergraduate, to finalizing the citations on your Ph.D. in Linguistics or Scandinavian Studies. For faculty and graduate students I am happy to consult on our collections and customizing Libraries content and services for your courses. I am also available to consult with community users on donations and archival materials. Please email me with any questions or schedule an appointment if you'd like a research consultation, or just a chat about what the Libraries has to offer on the topics of your interest. I look forward to meeting you!
