Out-Ostriching the Ostrich (1920)
Found in our executive branch microfiche collection, this 1920 social hygiene pamphlet provides tips for preventing venereal disease. The pamphlet is named after the ostrich because, like the ostrich, man “seeks to-day to avoid certain of his enemies” by sticking his head in the sand and ignoring the problem (STDs).
