Digital Commons: Submitting Faculty/Staff Work

Upcoming SelectedWorks Transition

SelectedWorks, the platform that hosts faculty profiles, is being discontinued by the publisher effective July 2024.

What that means for UW Tacoma faculty and staff:

  • We will no longer create new profiles or update existing profiles beginning in Fall 2023.
  • Faculty and staff who wish to maintain profiles will need to create new accounts on a different platform (e.g. ORCID, Google Scholar, their UWT Directory page, etc). 
  • Existing profiles will no longer be accessible as of July 2024.

The Library is here to help faculty and staff make this transition a smooth one with the following resources and services:

  • Attend our in-person faculty workshop exploring available platforms on Wednesday, November 15, 12:30-1:20pm in TLB 115 (session will be recorded for later viewing).
  • Check out this guide, with new pages in development covering available platforms and an FAQ.
  • Schedule an individual consultation with your subject librarian to discuss the best options for you.
