Freedom to Read Week takes place from February 21-26 each year, and is traditionally celebrated in Canada. Our collection includes many banned and challenged books, as well as books dealing with intellectual freedom, democracy, and censorship in the United States.

Be sure to check out the Black History Month Resources list which will be updated throughout the month for events, seminars, articles, lists, and other great resources to celebrate Black History Month and support Seattle's BIPOC community.
