Yesler Way Neighborhoods

The Seattle Public Library's Neighborhood History Project brings together digitized primary sources from SPL's collection and links to other resources including HistoryLink's thumbnail histories. The following neighborhoods are on the path of Yesler Way going from east to west.

Sherwood Park History Files

The Sherwood Parks History Collection at the Seattle Municipal Archives that includes correspondence, newsclippings and other information. The brief park history sheets written between 1955 and 1980 are available online. Each brief history includes a map and background information. More than 2000 photographs of parks dating from the early 20th century through the 1960s are also available online. There are histories for the following parks surrounding Yesler Way. Also check the information available on each park through the Seattle Parks & Recreation Department.
