By accessing UpToDate via the UW Libraries, you will avoid many access issues. Click on UpToDate from the Health Sciences Library homepage, Library Research Guides (like this one), the Care Provider Toolkit, etc. to be routed through UW NetID sign in, which verifies that you are currently affiliated with the UW and should have access.
If you are still not able to get into UpToDate, review the issues below to find out if your issue is resolved by re-authentication, waiting until your program start date is closer, or you need a new sponsored UW NetID.

Every 90 days UpToDate (UTD) requires users verify that they are still affiliated with the UW by signing in to their UTD account while also signed in with their UW NetID. You may receive an email stating that you must verify via UW Medical Centers Montlake and/or Harborview when the 90-day period is ending.
To re-authenticate, follow these steps:
Your UW NetID will give you access to UW Libraries resources a maximum of 14 days before your program start date. Sometimes it is only 7 days before your program starts and depends on how your department set up your NetID. If your program starts in five business days and you are not able to access UpToDate, please email UW IT at help@uw.edu or contact the UW Information Technology Service Center at 206-221-5000.
If neither of the above solutions resolve your issue, you may need to reach out to your department admin to determine whether your sponsored NetID was set up correctly.
