Information about how to navigate and use DynaMedex, which includes Micromedex content on the DynaMed platform.

Drug A-Z List

Generic Drugs Only

Please note: The DynaMedex Drugs A-Z list only includes generic drug names; search for brand name drugs by using the DynaMedex main search box instead. 

App for Mobile

In the DynaMedex mobile app, you may browse the Drugs A-Z list or begin typing the name of the drug you're interested in and then tap on it to learn more. 

Web for Desktop and Mobile

On the DynaMedex website for desktop and mobile, you may browse the Drugs A-Z list by letter or tap/click on the letter for the generic drug in which you're interested and then begin typing the name of the drug (on the browser version if you do not go to the letter of the generic drug name first, you will get a 'no results' error).

To look up toxicology for a drug via your mobile device's browser, follow these steps: 

  1. Go to DynaMedex Lock icon on your mobile device's browser app (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
  2. Type a drug name into the search box
  3. Tap on Topic Menu.
  4. Tap Toxicology.

App on Mobile

To look up toxicology for a drug via your mobile device's DynaMedex app, follow these steps:

  1. Go to DynaMedex Lock icon on the DynaMedex App (download an app for your device if not already installed).
  2. Type a drug name into the search box
  3. Tap on the hamburger menu icon in the bottom right corner.
  4. Tap Toxicology in the Table of Contents that opened.

Reproductive Toxicology

There are two ways to access reproductive toxicology information from databases like Reprotox and TERIS for drug monographs via DynaMedex; the second method below provides more information because you are viewing toxicology for the drug of interest and related agents. 

If the images are blurry, right click the image and then click Open in New Tab; in most browsers you may then click or scroll to zoom.

Method 1: Drug Monograph Reproductive Toxicology Only

Items you need to type, click, or press are italicized:

  1. Open Micromedex via DynaMedex by going to one of the links below to open DynaMedex, and then click on Micromedex in the toolbar at the top right of the DynaMedex screen. 
  2. On the home page of Micromedex type the drug you are looking for in the search box (example uses Rivaroxaban) and hit Enter. This brings you to the Quick Answers page of the drug monograph.
  3. On the right side of the page under Related Results, click on Toxicology.
    • Please note: the Toxicology section on the left side of the page will not show the same information and links.
    • Once you click on Toxicology on the right side of the page, this box should appear with links to information from Reprotox, TERIS, etc.:

Method 2: Drug Monograph & Related Agents Reproductive Toxicology

Please note: This method provides more information because the reproductive toxicology information includes related agents as well as the drug of interest.

Items you need to type, click, or press are italicized:

  1. Open Micromedex via DynaMedex by going to one of the links below to open DynaMedex, and then click on Micromedex in the toolbar at the top right of the DynaMedex screen. 
  2. Click on Tox & Drug Product Lookup in the menu at the top of the Micromedex website
  3. Type the drug in the search box (example uses Rivaroxaban) and hit Enter. It will bring you to this page:

  4. Under POISINDEX Managements, click on RIVAROXABAN AND RELATED AGENTS which will bring you to the In-Depth Answers section.
  5. On the right side of the page, click on Toxicology. Once you click on Toxicology, this box should appear with links to information from Reprotox, TERIS, etc.:
