Dorian Group Records, 1966-1990 Accession 5074. The Dorian Group is a Seattle gay rights organization that focuses on public education and legal reform. Materials relate primarily to trustee Robert Wood's service on the Dorian Group's Board of Trustees and Membership Committee.
Gay and Lesbian Issues Collection, 1989-1994 Accession 4511. Materials collected by a freelance author on religious conservative organizations and gay and lesbian organizations, with emphasis on anti-gay initiatives in Washington and Oregon, including Oregon's Measure 9.
Hands Off Washington, Kitsap County Coalition Records, 1992-1996 Accession 5335-001. Hands Off Washington was a program of Washington Citizens for Fairness, a not-for-profit political organizing committee formed in 1992 to defeat anti-gay legislation within Washington State. Records include correspondence, minutes, publicity materials, and ephemera relating to the Kitsap County regional division of HOW.
Harvey Muggy Papers, 1966-1991 Papers of a political organizer and the first openly gay person to run for public office in Seattle.
Sandy Nelson Defense Committee records, 1997 Accession 6084-001. Records related to Nelson's case against the Tacoma News Tribune, which went before the Washington State Supreme Court in 1997. Nelson lost her case when the court ruled that journalists are exempt from the Fair Campaign Practices Act, which prohibits employers from discriminating against employees who engage in off-duty political activities.

Seattle LGBT Commission The Seattle Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Commission advises the Mayor, Council and departments about issues of concern affecting the LGBTQ community, recommend policies and legislation, bring the LGBTQ communities and the larger Seattle community together through long-ranged projects, and ensure that City departments fairly and equitably address issues affecting and involving Seattle's LGBTQ communities as individuals and as a protected class afforded accessibility and inclusion to the services of the City of Seattle.
Seattle Metropolitan Elections Committee Seattle Metropolitan Elections Committee (SEAMEC) is a non-partisan civic organization that rates candidates running for political and judicial office in Seattle, King County, and the State of Washington. SEAMEC evaluates candidates on their knowledge of, record of proven activism for, and commitment to the concerns of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) communities. SEAMEC publishes its ratings in advance of the primary and general elections, so that voters can make an informed choice.
Snohomish County Elections Committee SNOMEC is a nonpartisan civic organization that interviews and rates candidates running for political office in Snohomish and Island Counties on their knowledge of, record of proven activism for, and commitment to the concerns of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) communities.
Washington Stonewall Democrats The Stonewall Democrats Organization works within the Washington State Democratic Party to influence policy on issues of importance to the LGBTQIA+ community.
