Seattle Theatre Archives: Theatre Companies

A guide to selected primary materials relating to theatrical companies and the history of theatre in Seattle available in Special Collections.

Theatre Companies

Included here are collections of records from Seattle area theatre companies, some of which are still active and others which no longer are in existence. Among these companies are the Seattle Repertory Theatre, A Contemporary Theatre (ACT), Bathhouse Theatre, Empty Space Theatre, and the Group Theatre. Examples of materials contained in these collections include: correspondence, programs, production books, and financial records. In some cases, those theatre company records which contained a substantial amount of photographs have been organized into separate photograph collections. For additional information on these related photographs, check under the Visual Materials tab.
