Campus Library FAQ: How do I limit searches to online, peer-reviewed journal articles?

Frequently asked questions at the UWB/CC Campus Library

Finding online, peer-reviewed journal articles

Locating articles in the UW Libraries collection involves two steps: searching for material using relevant words and phrases, and refining the search results to display only peer-reviewed articles that are available online.

Before beginning your search, remember to login to your UW Libraries account. You can login from the Campus Library homepage by clicking the Quick Links box in the upper right corner and selecting Your Library Account. Then enter your UW NetID and password.

1. Type your title or keywords into UW Libraries Search.

2. Refine your results by clicking on three limiters: Available Online, Peer-reviewed Journals (under Availability), and Articles (under Resource Type). Then, click Apply Filters.

Tip: After you get your search results, click the Remember all filters link. Then if you type in new search words and click on Search, your new results will still be limited to peer-reviewed, available online articles.
