There are multiple formats for citations. Scholars of African Studies will use various formats depending on the discipline being researched. For information on citation formats see the Citing Sources guide.

  • By Topic - Type in the keywords that broadly describe your topic.  For example: nigeria economy petroleum
     
  • By Title - Type in the first few words of the book title in quotations.  For example: "selling the serengeti"
     
  • By Author - Type in the last name followed by the first name of the author in quotations.  For example: "swarr amanda"
