Japan Special Collections: Shōyū Club Collection

A gift from the Shōyū Club on the political history of the Japanese House of Lords. Historical features include documents on the Russo-Japanese War, and the modernization of the financial system during the Meiji era. This collection includes memoirs written by the individual members of the House of Lords which detail the modern laws governing Japan under the Meiji Constitution.
